Platelet-Rich Fibrin Treatment

Certified Platelet-Rich Fibrin Treatment in Vancouver WA

What is Platelet-Rich Fibrin Treatment?

We are excited to introduce PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin), a cutting-edge treatment that promotes tissue generation and ultimately results in enhanced positive outcomes for patients. PRF has been shown to help in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, joint conditions and arthritis. It has been used in several orthopedic conditions including arthritis, partial ligament or tendon tears such as rotator cuff tears, disc issues, and ligament laxity. It also offers cosmetic benefits such as improvement of scar tissue/acne scarring and facial rejuvenation. We have carefully studied the research and clinical trials and evaluated the effectiveness of PRF. The positive feedback and exceptional results obtained have further strengthened our confidence in this innovative treatment. Of course, we can never guarantee that all patients will experience the same outcome, however, most patients notice the benefits of PRF within just 3-4 treatments.

Our Platelet-Rich Fibrin Treatments

PRF uses an advanced technique that involves spinning the blood sample horizontally in the centrifuge, spinning at a slower rate to allow for integrity of the cells, and maximizing the concentration of fibrin (represented by the “F” in PRF) for a superior treatment experience. Because the sample is spun at a lower speed, it causes less trauma to the individual cells of the blood and allows more stem cells to remain in the final PRF product. Additionally, no anticoagulants or other products are used/needed making it a very safe product because all of it comes from the individual patient. This also allows the natural fibrinogen within our blood to convert to fibrin which has several healing properties. The horizontal spin creates a spongy fibrin matrix that activates the platelets and allows for a slow release of growth factors and starts the tissue healing process when it is injected back into the patient.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about PRF, the procedure, or the associated costs, please do not hesitate to contact our clinic.
