Have you visited the Luepke Senior Center yet? If you haven’t, you should! Our team has been visiting the Luepke weekly and we are having an amazing time! This center is incredible!
They host a variety of activities for ages 50 and better (but all ages are welcome!). Their activity list includes everything from bingo to dancing to cooking classes. They also encourage senior wellness and fitness. They offer many types of exercise classes at the Marshall Center located next door to Luepke. Included in these fitness activities are swimming, Zumba, yoga, basketball, and other activities for all skill levels and physical restrictions. Head over to the center or check their website for their event calendar for a full list of scheduled activities.
Our team has been visiting the center on Wednesday mornings during their morning dance session. This event is free of charge, and food is provided by Meals on Wheels for a fee or by donation if you’re over 60. Coffee, water, and snacks are offered to all free of charge.
The music is phenomenal! The Luepke Center hosts a variety of live music; we’ve heard everything from swing to classical piano to country karaoke. Attendees are encouraged to dance, but it is, by no means, a requirement. Come enjoy the live music from many talented artists and mingle with others within the community. Card games are also known to start up during dancing and lunch.
There is not enough good that can be said about this center. The people are warm and friendly and are eager to socialize. It’s impossible to leave without making at least one friend. We decided it would be fun to hand out flowers during our visits, and in turn, we were able to connect with so many people. They told us their stories, their pain management needs, their goals, and showed us the ropes of the center. One attendee, named Kelly Jo, helped us hand out flowers. She was very excited to talk with everyone about our pain clinic and connect with fellow attendees. Thank you Kelly Jo for all of your help and kindness!
Within the next few months, our clinic will be hosting a stem cell seminar at the Luepke, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for this event! Again, this senior center is fantastic! We encourage everyone to visit at least once because they have something to satisfy all types of interests. We hope to see you there!
