Have you written on our “Wall of Thanks” yet?
We started this project about a month or so ago in hopes of inspiring others. We’re often so busy throughout our daily lives that it can be a challenge to stop and take a moment to appreciate things. This exercise of gratitude, especially when we’re in pain, is essential for healing. If we can set aside our wants and wishes in order to focus on the present, we can strategize our healing much better.
Think about what you’re feeling right now. Think about your goals, and how you’d like to feel. Now, step back and begin to realize all of the things you have and/or are able to do right now even in your current situation. None of us are completely where we’d like to be in our lives, but being able to appreciate what we have can help us grow so much.
What are you able to do that you’re thankful for? What brings you joy in life? Revisit these thoughts and feelings especially when you are in pain, rather than dwelling on the pain itself.
Come read our wall! Come see what others are thankful for. We hope it inspires you to continue healing and growing. Also, please add something of your own! What are you thankful for? We’d love to hear about it!
